Dear friends,
8 Paws Club is dedicated to the welfare of dogs, following the scientifically proven 5 Freedoms Framework for dogs.
Dog’s Welfare
We do trainings for our dogs, buy them best food and toys, read advises on Internet etc. It looks like we do everything right, but still – dog behavioral problems arise. Why? What are we doing wrong? Exactly. We don`t take into account the importance of our dog’s welfare, that is quite different from human welfare. So what is welfare again? It is a combination of needs that are important to canis familiaris. And our 8 Paws Club mission is to educate everyone about these needs – through free articles, videos and dog online courses. Our courses and trainings are based on scientific researches – we do follow a lot of scientific sources and base our information on the following statement:
Stick with science and use common sense.

My grandfather was passionate Anglo-russian hound breeder and hunter. I was surrounded by puppies till the beginning of school years. Also I had a cat Freddy, named after Freddie Mercury, but sometimes he was acting like it was Freddy Krueger 🙂 He was usually acting like a dog. But only when I moved to Prague, Czech Republic, I had finally my first dog, Yorkie Baryk. He is very shy little fur boy, that`s why I have decided to get him a “co-pilot” Yorkie Bruno.
There is the beginning of my story full of up and downs with dog behavior problems, agility competitions, surgical operations, bad and OK vets, rehabilitations, dog massages, depression, anxiety, yoga, traveling to all European and non European countries with dogs etc.
These up and downs led me to the way of applied animal behavior science and yoga. Additional to my 4 high education diplomas (yep, I am addicted to learning!) I have finished a lot of courses and trainings related to humans and dogs’ welfare, dog training:
- Dog training, School of Applied Ethology (Israel)
- Dog massage by Dorn Method, training in Prague
- Certification in Zoopsychology, Applied Animal Behavior, School of Applied Ethology (Israel)
- Certification in Dog Trainer Foundations, Karen Pryor Academy
- Canine Conditioning Fitness Coach – Do More With Your Dog
- Certified Trick Dog Instructor – Do More With Your Dog
- Dog Emotion and Cognition, Duke Univercity
- Animal Behaviour and Welfare, University of Edinburgh
- The Truth About Cats and Dogs, University of Edinburgh
- Trainings and seminars in dog nutrition (Anna Lineva, Munich), dog sports and behavior: Denise Fenzi, Amy Cook, Ken Ramirez, nouswork courses by Stacy Barnett, Grisha Stewart (BAT method in dog aggression), Michael Shikashio (dog aggression), Deborah Jones, Susan Garett, Emily Larlham, Megan Foster (agility), Ian Dunbar courses etc.
- Yoga teacher training, Himalayan Yoga Institute
My lovely Yorkies Baryk and Bruno are winners of many dog agility competitions 🙂
I also volunteer in dog sanctuary “Cool Critters” and encourage you to visit their page and offer some help ❤️
